Dwipenem Injection (Meropenem Injection IP 1000mg)
Dwipenem Injection contains Meropenem 1000mg for treatment of severe bacterial infections.
Dwipenem Injection contains Meropenem 1000mg, a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic from the carbapenem class. It is used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Dwipenem is available as a sterile powder for reconstitution, suitable for both intravenous (IV) and intramuscular (IM) administration.
Composition:
Each vial contains:
- Meropenem IP 1000mg
- Excipients: q.s.
Therapeutic Indications:
Dwipenem Injection is indicated for the treatment of:
- Severe pneumonia, hospital-acquired and community-acquired infections
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Gynecological infections
- Septicemia and meningitis (as per physician’s advice)
Dosage & Administration:
- Route: Intravenous (IV) or Intramuscular (IM) use only
- Dosage: As directed by the physician, depending on infection type, severity, and patient condition.
- Reconstitution: Use sterile water for injection or compatible infusion fluid for dilution before administration.
Storage Instructions:
- Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

- To be administered by a registered medical practitioner.
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to carbapenems or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
